WASHINGTON — Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP (WBK) is proud to announce that 12 attorneys have been named to the 2021 Super Lawyers list in both Washington, DC, and Denver, CO. Additionally, this marks the 10th year on the Super Lawyers list for WBK Managing Partner Bryan Tramont and David Oxenford.
The WBK attorneys named 2021 Super Lawyers are: Jonathan Cohen (Washington, DC; Communications), Christine Crowe (Washington, DC; Communications), Ray Gifford (Colorado; Utilities, Communications, Administrative Law, Environmental), Erin Griffith (Washington, DC; Rising Stars – Communications), Russ Hanser (Washington, DC; Communications), Matthew Larson (Colorado; Rising Stars – Energy & Natural Resources, Utilities), Howard Liberman (Washington, DC; Communications), David Oxenford (Washington, DC; Communications), David Solomon (Washington, DC; Communications), Bryan Tramont (Washington, DC; Communications), Mark Wiranowski (Colorado; Rising Stars – Utilities, Business/Corporate) and Rachel Wolkowitz (Washington, DC; Rising Stars – Administrative Law).
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations with up to 5 percent of the lawyers in each state named Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state named Rising Stars.
Note for 2021: Super Lawyers bases the number of attorneys it selects in every state on the total attorney count in the state as reported to the American Bar Association. This year, DC changed the methodology it uses to determine residency needed to be counted as a DC attorney in their reported numbers. As a result, Super Lawyers is required to reduce their selection count in half – from 5% for Super Lawyers to no more than 2.5% for DC this year to align.
