MICHAEL KEEGAN JOINS WILKINSON BARKER KNAUER’S 

EXPANDING ENERGY PRACTICE

WASHINGTON, D.C.  –   Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP is pleased to announce that Michael Keegan has joined the firm as Counsel effective today.  Mr. Keegan’s representation of electric and gas utility companies in matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) provides added expertise and flexibility to the firm’s growing energy practice.

Mr. Keegan has worked with public utilities, natural gas local distribution companies, state entities, and other electric and natural gas market participants on a wide range of matters before the FERC, as well as related petitions for review to the courts of appeals.  He counsels electric industry participants regarding bulk sales of electric power at cost-based and market-based rates, transmission open access, generator interconnection, merger requirements, affiliate rules and transactional matters.     Mr. Keegan received a B.A. from Emory University and earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School.  He is a member of the District of Columbia, New York and New Jersey bars, and is an active member of the Energy Bar Association.  Mr. Keegan’s work has been published in academic journals and industry publications.
