Chuck Keller will be recognized at this year’s City Year Washington DC Idealism in Action Gala. The event is an opportunity for companies to recognize an extraordinary community-minded employee as an Idealist of the Year.

WBK’s Chuck Keller has passionately advocated for several pro bono clients who were persecuted for their sexual orientation in their native Cameroon and are seeking asylum in the United States. All of these individuals had experienced terrible violence at the hands of the police and others in their home country. Chuck has successfully obtained asylum for two of his clients, and they are beginning to build new lives in the United States. He is also working on obtaining derivative asylum status for the three young children of one of the clients granted asylum in November.

Chuck truly embodies all the characteristics of an Idealist of the Year and Wilkinson Barker Knauer is proud to name him our 2017 Idealist of the Year. He will be recognized at the Idealism in Action Gala on March 29th.
