Jonathan Cohen, who co-chairs the Emerging Issues in Tech committee of FCBA-The Tech Bar, hosted a Continuing Legal Education webinar on February 29, 2024 in which expert panels addressed two of the many issues currently at the center of the tech policy debates:

• the First Amendment issues raised in the U.S. Supreme Court in Moody v. NetChoice and NetChoice v. Paxton; and
• the obligations imposed by the EU’s Digital Markets Act on Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ByteDance, Meta, and Microsoft, who have been designated under that law as gatekeepers with durable market positions in digital sectors.

Jonathan co-authored WBK’s brief to the Supreme Court on behalf of an amicus in the NetChoice cases, and he moderated the first CLE panel.  The Court’s decision is expected by summer.  A recording of the CLE webinar is available from the FCBA.
