A new year is upon us, and it is time to look forward to the regulatory dates and deadlines for broadcasters in that year. While we expect an FCC that will, for the first time since 2016, be controlled by Democrats, when that will occur and what that will mean is still uncertain as the nomination of one new commissioner is, at this time, in limbo. But many routine regulatory filings, dates, and deadlines remain to fill a broadcaster’s calendar. These include the requirement to prepare an annual Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) public inspection file report, to upload quarterly issues/programs lists to the public file, and to pay annual FCC regulatory fees.
