Megan Chavez is an associate in the firm’s Infrastructure group. She advises clients on real estate, corporate and commercial matters, including real property transactions and rights, development, operation and acquisition of energy and infrastructure projects, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and project finance and general corporate governance.

Megan’s energy practice includes advising clients on transactional, real estate and regulatory matters, including in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) market, as well as in the West and Midwest. Her experience includes electric service and interconnection arrangements for data centers and other large-load facilities; related real estate transactions; renewable energy, battery storage, and onsite generation projects; and retail and wholesale electricity market participation. She assists clients with negotiating development, power supply, real property rights, and market services agreements, navigating ERCOT and Public Utility Commission of Texas requirements, and conducting energy regulatory and real estate due diligence in connection with project development, acquisitions, and financings.

Megan takes an integrated approach to understanding her clients’ businesses and commercial objectives. She works closely with clients to identify and assess risk, structure workable solutions, and negotiate agreements that protect their interests and advance their goals.
