Karen L. Milne

Karen Milne has nearly twenty years of experience advising clients in the media, satellite, telecommunications, wireless and high-technology industries.  She regularly represents clients before the FCC on a wide range of regulatory and transactional matters, such as mergers and acquisitions, licensing and compliance, spectrum policies, the broadcast incentive auction, foreign ownership, broadcast ownership, and rulemaking proceedings. Karen assists clients with structuring transactions to comply with applicable regulations and managing the FCC and PUC regulatory approval process.  She also works with clients to negotiate and draft retransmission consent agreements and commercial transaction and licensing agreements.  Karen’s clients have included television and radio station group owners, satellite operators, private equity and hedge funds, and providers of new technologies and services.  Prior to joining WBK in April of 2021, Karen worked in the communications and information technology section of an AmLaw 100 firm.
