Eric joins Wilkinson, Barker, Knauer after six years of service at the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN). For four years, he served as Assistant Staff Counsel where, on behalf of PUCN Staff, he litigated various large, complex energy regulatory cases, including electric and natural gas rate cases, electric utility resource plans, and electric utility natural disaster protection plans. As lead counsel in numerous multimillion-dollar regulatory proceedings, Eric gained exceptional experience formulating key legal strategies and building strong, successful positions for his client. Eric’s experience also includes investigating and drafting regulations on paramount energy transition topics, including resource adequacy, net metering, regional transmission organizations, natural disaster protection, and cybersecurity.  By the end of his tenure at the PUCN, Eric was the Staff Division’s most experienced litigator in northern Nevada.

Prior to his role as Assistant Staff Counsel, Eric served two years as an Administrative Attorney, where he advised the PUCN Chair in various regulatory matters and drafted PUCN orders.

Eric received his J.D. from West Virginia University, where he was the Moot Court Board’s Energy Law Chair, and his B.A. in political science from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Eric was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys hiking, rock climbing, mountaineering, and skiing.
