Michael Miller Rejoins Wilkinson Barker Knauer as Of Counsel in Denver Office

DENVER — Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP (WBK) is pleased to announce that Michael Miller is rejoining the firm as Of Counsel in the Denver office.

Michael counsels companies across the energy and telecommunications sectors on complex administrative, appellate, regulatory, and compliance matters.  In this capacity, he works with stakeholders to develop practical policy solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives. Drawing on his environmental law background and deep understanding of federal and state regulatory frameworks, including FCC and energy matters, Michael advises clients on project development, complex transactions, and infrastructure permitting, helping developers navigate laws such as the National Environmental Policy Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the Clean Air Act.  Michael additionally represents clients in state and federal courts in both defending and challenging agency actions and has served as principal author of appellate briefs successfully defending agency action in three federal courts of appeals.  Michael has also briefed matters before the United States Supreme Court.

“We are thrilled to welcome Michael back to WBK. Not only does he strengthen our energy regulatory team, he also brings valuable expertise in environmental and appellate law for our clients,” said Denver Office Managing Partner Ray Gifford.

“I am eager to be rejoining WBK at this exciting time for the firm and its clients,” said Michael Miller. “The energy, communications, and technology industries continue to evolve at a dramatic pace, and WBK has been at the forefront of that evolution. Looking to the future, WBK is well-positioned to continue providing excellent service for its clients as their industries continue to evolve.  I look forward to being a part of the WBK team navigating that future.”

Before joining WBK, Michael clerked for Judge Paul J. Kelly Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and was an associate at international and boutique law firms, where he focused on regulatory matters. Michael received his J.D. from University of Colorado Law School and a B.S. from Stanford University. He graduated first in his class from the University of Colorado Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Colorado Environmental Law Journal.
