Michael counsels clients on public utility regulatory matters. He joined Wilkinson Barker Knauer in 2019 after clerking for the Honorable Paul J. Kelly, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. While in law school, Michael pursued his interests in energy, regulatory, and environmental law both inside and outside the classroom. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Colorado Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law Review and Co-President of the Environmental Law Society.
Before law school, Michael worked for several years as an energy policy researcher at Stanford’s Program on Energy and Sustainable Development. His research projects included modeling the world market for coal used to generate electric power and designing an energy efficiency workshop for residential utility customers.
