Debrea M. Terwilliger Rejoins Wilkinson Barker Knauer as Partner

DENVER — Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP (WBK) is pleased to announce that Debrea M. Terwilliger is rejoining the firm as a Partner. Debrea returns to WBK from her role as Assistant General and Staff Counsel for the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN). In Debrea’s role as Assistant General Counsel, she defended the PUCN in various Nevada courts, including the Nevada Supreme Court, on critical administrative law matters. Debrea also worked on behalf of the PUCN at the Nevada Legislature on key energy and communications legislation. As Assistant Staff Counsel at the PUCN, Debrea litigated a variety of large cases, including natural gas and electric company rate cases and electric company resource plans. Debrea also has been actively involved in important PUCN investigations regarding resource adequacy and performance-based ratemaking. While Debrea will be part of WBK’s Denver office, she will be based in Nevada.

Prior to her tenure at the PUCN, Debrea was a Partner in WBK’s Denver office where she represented investor-owned utilities in New Mexico and Colorado, as well as independent power producers operating in the Midwest and West. As a WBK Associate, she represented a variety of telecommunications clients. Debrea currently serves as the Secretary of the Energy, Utilities and Communications Law Section of the Nevada Bar.

Debrea received her J.D. from Catholic University of America and a B.A. in journalism and political science from Indiana University.
