WBK’s Managing Partner, Bryan Tramont, participated in CTIA’s Mobile IT Conference in San Diego, CA on October 9-10, 2012.

On October 9, Bryan spoke on the roles of federal, state, and local government bodies and the issues facing those entities, including federal preemption, FirstNet public safety network, and voluntary broadcast incentive auctions … what does it all mean for a state lawmaker? This session reviewed the role of the different levels of government – from federal to local municipalities – and laws governing wireless policies and regulation. Jurisdictional issues, including the historical roles of federal, state, and local government bodies, were analyzed.

On October 10, Bryan moderated a State Policymaker Forum consisting of State Public Service and Public Utility Commissioners who discussed consumer protection, innovation, and other issues.
