Lawrence J. Movshin has more than 30 years of experience representing the common carrier, land mobile, and personal radio communications interests of system licensees, major equipment manufacturers, trade associations and private users. He represents applicants and system licensees in their formation, regulatory proceedings and ongoing business activities, including the financing of a variety of wireless telecommunications systems.
Mr. Movshin assists clients in navigating the full range of federal and state regulatory issues associated with many of the most significant wireless industry consolidations. He has extensive experience in spectrum leasing and other transactions in the secondary market and he has been recognized as an expert on the regulatory requirements and restrictions associated with the FCC’s spectrum auction procedures and policies. In addition, he has worked on a variety of transactions outside of the telecommunications industry associated with the acquisition of numerous different business interests and financing circumstances. Mr. Movshin also has significant experience in the development and application of the FCC's equipment authorization regulations imposing limits on and methods of measuring radio frequency emissions. Mr. Movshin has written numerous articles and is a frequent speaker at trade seminars and bar associations on transactional issues involving spectrum acquisitions and system sales.
